The store features Blackboard-branded merchandise including caps, sports shirts, mouse pads and shopping totes.
The Blackboard Online Store provides Blackboard employees one secure source to purchase branded merchandise through a simple, easy-to-use online catalog. The catalog allows Blackboard to consolidate purchasing efforts, ensure branding continuity, increase productivity and reduce costs. Previously, branded merchandise was acquired individually or by departments. The online store will also give employees the option to order items not offered in the catalog, such as personalized golf balls. "Blackboard employees may submit a wish list to EIM, and our buyers will take it from there," says Alan Melichar, EIM Account Executive.
Blackboard Senior Manager of Global Events Marketing, Young Weaver, likes the convenience of the new online store, and enjoys being able to quickly browse approved logoed merchandise and quickly place and receive her order. "We always need something on short notice for trade shows or client gifts and the online store has really helped fill this need. Without the online store we would be constantly trying to find leftover branded items at the last minute," says Weaver.
Excellence In Motivation has managed travel programs for Blackboard since 2006, and has provided branded merchandise for several of the company's departments. "The idea to consolidate purchasing efforts is one example of a way we can expand our services to Blackboard in the current economic climate," says Bob Miller, President/CEO of Excellence In Motivation.
