Electronic Cigarette Safety Not A Real Concern
While special interest groups continue to bombard the public with suggestions that electronic cigarettes are dangerous, evidence from other sources points in a different direction.

GAINESVILLE, FL, April 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- While the mainstream media and establishment health organizations attempt to label electronic cigarettes as "dangerous", most real studies concerning the products have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are not.

When the electronic cigarette first came on the market in the United States a few years ago, it was largely unknown by the public. When the public became aware of its presence, however, health organizations, both governmental and non-governmental alike, began to declare the products of questionable safety.

"The first thing that they tried to hammer into everyone's minds was propylene glycol," says Tiffany Ellis of E Cigarettes National. "People began to realize, though, that propylene glycol that is in e-cigarette refill cartridges is an ingredient in some of the things in their medicine cabinet, like asthma inhalers and in lotions. They don't have any evidence that e-cigarettes have harmed anyone and this was even noted by the federal judge in the federal court case against the US Food and Drug Administration. The FDA was able to bring forth not one complaint from the public about electronic cigarettes into the court room."

All scientific studies about the health effects of electronic cigarettes except for the FDA's own internal study have found that the products are nowhere near as dangerous as traditional cigarettes that have been on the market for decades.

"LPD Lab Services in the UK and Dr. Murray Laugesen's Health New Zealand have both concluded from their studies that electronic cigarettes are safe when used as directed," says Ellis. "It's a great alternative to tobacco cigarettes."
