Mr. Guthrie spoke about the basics of estate plans, making a will or living trust, the probate court process, getting advance directives and power of attorney done, and how to get things started.
Evan Guthrie is an attorney that practices in the areas of estate planning making wills, living trusts, power of attorney, and special needs trusts. Attorney Guthrie makes many presentations to the public a year on estate planning as a way of giving back to the community and stressing the importance of an activity that can be uncomfortable to think about, but absolutely necessary to do. Mr. Guthrie talked about an hour and went over the most important aspects to think about when making a plan for an estate. Attorney Evan Guthrie also spoke about some of the practical things that the average person can do to get organized and little things they can do to get started planning their estate such as getting all of their important papers in order.
