April 30, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Every Man's Worst Nightmare: Accusations of Sexual Abuse or Sex Battery

Article provided by Clyde M. Taylor Jr.; Visit us at www.cmtjrlaw.com

In the past three years Attorney Clyde M. Taylor, Jr. has taken a number of cases involving allegations of rape, sexual abuse, child molestation and lewd or lascivious conduct to trial ... with more than 70% of those trials ending in NOT GUILTY verdicts for his clients, even when there was DNA evidence against some of them ... thus ending the nightmares for the men accused of such conduct.

"No one is safe from these type allegations. They may come at you from a neighbor's child, your child's babysitter, a secretary, employee, a relative, or your 'date', and rarely, if ever, are there any witnesses other than the accuser. The results set out below are real cases, some with DNA evidence, in which I successfully convinced juries that the charge(s) against my clients had not been proved beyond a reasonable doubt." Clyde M. Taylor, Jr.

06-303-CF (Gadsden Co. Cir. Court) - 2 counts, sex battery on alleged victim U- 12; 4 counts, lewd conduct on another alleged victim U-16. NOT GUILTY - ALL COUNTS, after 16 minutes of jury deliberations in February, 2007.

06-466-CF (Gadsden Co. Cir. Court) - 1 count, sex battery w. DNA on alleged victim; NOT GUILTY after a 65 minute jury deliberation, June, 2007.

05-784-CF (Gadsden Co. Cir. Court) - 2 counts, sex battery on alleged victim U- 16; alleged victim was niece of accused. NOT GUILTY, November, 2006.

99-119-CF (Gulf Co. Cir. Court) - this was a 1999 case in which, in a post conviction motion, Mr. Taylor won the release of the Client from a 9 year prison sentence in 2005, after 5 years in prison. The state then sought to try the Client on the original charge of sex battery, alleged victim U-12. This case had DNA evidence against the Client. Jury verdict - " NOT GUILTY" - September, 2008.

06-2848CF (Leon Co. Cir. Court) - 1 count, sex battery & 1 count, kidnapping.
Another DNA case, with alleged victim claiming "date rape." Client found NOT GUILTY, both counts, in February, 2009.

07-2388CF (Leon Co. Cir. Court) - 1 count lewd & lascivious conduct, alleged victim U-16. Another DNA case, but the jury returned a verdict to a lesser charge (simple battery, a misdemeanor), to which the Client was sentenced to probation for 1 year. November, 2008.
