Evi Kadar

Melbourne, Australia, February 25, 2013 /Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Evi Kadar, CEO of the County Court of Victoria, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in government administration.

A respected professional with expertise in strategic planning, operational management, and service delivery to disadvantaged groups, Ms. Kadar has been managing the administration and operations of the County Court of Victoria since 2007. Previously, she served as Manager of the Dame Phyllis Frost Women's Prison, and CEO of the Melbourne Juvenile Justice Centre and the Statewide Forensic Service. She has also been a manager of Victims Services at VSA and has 26 years experience working with both offenders and victims of crime.

Ms. Kadar began her career in correctional operations at 17 years of age when she performed student volunteer work with offenders. Here, she saw that psycho-social issues were a significant cause of offending for individuals and became interested in the need to effectively address offending behavior; first through her probation supervision work, and later though policy work and then the management of correctional/custodial institutions. Now observing the beginning of her third decade in correctional operations, she attributes her success to her passion and commitment to making a difference in the lives of those impacted by the justice system.

Ms. Kadar received a postgraduate diploma in criminology from Melbourne University and a bachelor's degree in social sciences from La Trobe University. She is a member of the Court Network Board and the Adult Migration Education Service. She also volunteers as a tutor for newly arrived refugees. She looks forward to continuing her leadership role within the justice sector.
