Drawing on 31 years of professional experience, Faye Owen Caldwell serves as one half of Caldwell Mountain Copper, a small, independent manufacturer of copper kettles, buckets and vessels. Alongside her husband, Porter, Ms. Caldwell oversees business operations and excels at welding, hammering, shaping and engraving copper pieces. Each and every item at Caldwell Mountain Copper is handmade with painstaking attention to detail. The vessels are completely food safe and ready for use upon receipt. Ms. Caldwell and her husband are capable of making any type of container including apple butter kettles, buckets, chocolate pots, double boilers and foot tubs.

In addition to her work in coppersmithing, Ms. Caldwell is a talented writer. She received an award for an article which was published in Homespun Legacy magazine and is in the throws of writing a book about her childhood.

A graduate of Hollins University, Ms. Caldwell holds a master of arts in liberal studies, with a concentration in art, and a bachelor of arts in sociology. She earned an associate degree in pre-teacher education from Virginia Western Community College. Actively involved in her local community, she is a member of the Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce. Her plans for the future include expanding the coppersmithing business and publishing her book.
