ST. PETERSBURG, FL, December 03, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With the bitcoin mining industry taking major leaps forward in recent weeks, it's no surprise that local labs are sprouting up all over the country and there is one start-up lab that is getting a load of attention with a new series of consumer-grade bitcoin miners boasting hashrates comparable with tomorrow's commercial miners and a pre-sale guarantee for delivery in the first quarter of 2014 and a 1 year manufacturer's warranty on all of their Viking Series mining rigs.

What started as a group of hackers from the collective known as Anonymous quickly became a research lab of technology entrepreneurs. Going by names of Vikings, the Protovision Team has an idea that cryptology is the future of communications and economy and began to develop privacy tools and software to help whistleblowers report crimes, report pedophiles to the proper authorities, and now they have set out to bring the privacy of bitcoin to the world economy through industry advancements, while providing a funding outlet for charitable causes.

A start-up research lab in St. Petersburg, Florida calling itself Protovision Labs has announced the pre-order sales for it's upcoming line of advanced bitcoin mining rigs said to have hashrates of 5 TH/s and running virtually silent with a new cooling technology they have dubbed "Silent Chill". The noise-canceling cooling fans are said to be the quietest cooling system on the market and allows for a much more peaceful mining operation.

Using the latest eASIC 28nm chips, the Ivar is the smallest of the three new rigs being developed and promises hashrates of 1.5 TH/s and overclocking at 1.8 TH/s from a desktop unit approx. a foot square in size and using only approx. 30w per GH when mining. It's onboard wifi antennae allows the unit to operate as a stand-alone unit after setting up the software and the remote management application allows for management of the mining rigs via Apple or Android as well as an innovative dashboard.

The Ragnar unit promises to deliver 3.5 TH/s or 3500 GH/s of hash speeds and also features the Silent Chill cooling system, but instead of using the eASIC 28nm chips, Protovision went with the upcoming 20nm Avalon chips for this unit. This is a bold move, as most labs will stick with a single manufacturer for their ASIC chips. Protovision states that they want to provide a diverse line of miners that appeal to any at-home or small business mining operation.

Their largest rig is properly called The Odin, and guarantees a 5 TH/s hashrate while using the 20nm Avalon chips on 16 boards. The unit has an overclock rate of 6 TH/s, making it the most powerful rig available on the market at this time. If this lab maintains it's money-back guarantee, they are poised to be in the cutting edge of bitcoin mining today and in the foreseeable future.

Protovision Labs is a start-up technology research lab in St. Petersburg, Florida focusing on cryptology applications and especially those relating to communications and virtual currencies.
