/24-7PressRelease/ -- Albert Pit Barbecue Catering raised over $800.00 during it's special Carry Out BBQ night on Friday, January 22nd. The Fort Collins based catering company gave 100% of the profits from the event and customer donations to the United Nation's World Food Program (WFP).
Albert Pit Barbecue mailed $805.12 to the World Food Program. Within 24 hours of the earthquake, the WFP began providing ready-to-eat foods and high-energy biscuits to quake victims and is gearing up to feed 2 million people for the next six months. For four years, Albert Pit Barbecue has been supporting the WFPs Millennium Development Goal of halving world hunger by 2015. Owner Korey Albert says, "We've carefully researched our charitable choices and believe that this organization is worthy of our donation and yours."
