With 30 years of experience in his field, Mr. Garanger is known for his expertise in food quality and culinary excellence. Daily, he is tasked with writing recipes, overseeing all culinary training and management, planning menus, building ships, staffing, managing food costs, minimizing food waste, sourcing vendors, ordering supplies and equipment, and delivering superior customer service.
Recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, Mr. Garanger attributes his success to striving for quality, as well as his focus and constant desire to grow. He became involved in his profession because of his passion for great cuisine. He began in the field as an apprentice of French master chef Jean-François Piers. By 1994, he decided to expand his knowledge and joined Silversea Cruises, where within four years, he was promoted to the position of corporate chef. His career has been a natural progression of opportunities ever since.
Well-equipped to thrive in his field, Mr. Garanger is the holder of a bachelor's degree in hotel management and a certificate in cooking. Recognized for his aptitude, he was titled a French Master Chef by Master Chefs of France in 2008.
