Free Courses for Citizen Journalists from FirstMaster
FirstMaster, a Non-profit Organization, offers free journalism courses to increase the number of citizen journalists in Italy, to develop independent information.
ROME, ITALY, January 20, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The MOOCs, Massive Online Open Course, offered free by the universities of Stanford, Harvard, Berkeley and MIT have found an imitation in Italy, by a non-profit organization, FirstMaster (firstmaster.com), which offers free journalism courses, to increase the number of citizen journalists in Italy, and to develop independent information.
FirstMaster uses Moodle, a free software e-learning platform (acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment). It had a user base of 83.008 registered and verified sites, serving 70,696,570 users in 7.5 million courses + with + 1.2 million teachers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moodle).
