Gov. Bev Perdue To Open Jan. 12 Chamber Executive Women's Luncheon
Panel Of Women Political Thought Leaders To Emphasize Hard Work, Public Service At Greater Raleigh Chamber Of Commerce Event

    RALEIGH, NC, January 08, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce (http://www.raleighchamber.org/) has announced that the organization will host its quarterly Chamber Executive Women's Luncheon on Thursday, Jan. 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Raleigh-Durham/Research Triangle, located at 201 Harrison Oaks Blvd. in Cary. Gov. Bev Perdue will be in attendance to make opening remarks at the event. The luncheon's theme, "Women in Politics: Heeding the Call of Public Service," focuses on the region's foremost women political leaders, their experiences in running for office and the necessary traits for success in a public leadership role. Panelists for the nonpartisan event include: Elaine Marshall, N.C. Secretary of State; Nancy McFarlane, Raleigh mayor; Jennifer Robinson, Cary Town Council member; and Annette Taylor, executive director for the NC Center for Women in Public Service.

Cost of attendance is $40 for employees of Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce member firms and $55 for non-members. An RSVP is requested by Monday, Jan. 9. For more information or to register, visit http://bit.ly/tqBTQE.
