NEW ORLEANS, LA, February 01, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The opening will take place at Guy Lyman Fine Art, 3645 Magazine Street, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, February 7th.
"I think anyone who loves this city will also love this show," said Guy Lyman. "There are photos of buildings from the iconic, such as Harry's Hardware, to the merely quirky. And they look stunning together in large format on the wall." The photos will be available in a strictly limited edition.
Cusimano is a noted commercial photographer in New Orleans, but this series represents his creative side. "I specialize in shooting architecture, but I don't really get to pick and choose. In this case, I could shoot exactly what I wanted to, the way I wanted to. I think and hope I have really captured the charm of Magazine Street, and therefore New Orleans itself."
Subjects of the photos range from Magazine Street fixtures such as Le Bon Temps, Harry's Hardware and National Art & Hobby to a pawn shop and discount store. "I wanted to capture the variety that makes Magazine Street such a unique stretch of road," said Cusimano.
