(DTA), a public finance, facilities planning and urban economics consulting firm specializing in municipal infrastructure, public services finance and land development economics.
Challenged to deliver maximum economic value for DTA's 11,000-square-foot space, H. Hendy Associates offered a design solution to eliminate unnecessary real estate costs, cut down on clutter, accommodate DTA's future growth, and introduce new technologies to help DTA employees operate more efficiently.
"Our final space reveals a side to DTA's culture that was previously stifled by our old layout," said David Taussig, president and CEO of David Taussig & Associates. "Our new office is more than just a beautiful space - it's become our tool for success."
H. Hendy Associates addressed DTA's previous "maze-like" office layout, introducing low-rise workstations to allow natural daylight to spread throughout the office. A combination of designated storage areas and better-organized workstations has relieved paper-cluttered hallways. The kitchen area now serves as a caf -like meeting place outfitted with banquet seating, recessed display cases, and power outlets to accommodate impromptu presentations & meetings.
"A working environment that more accurately coincided with the quality of our work product was paramount to our business goals," said Taussig. "When it comes right down to it, our new office enables us to build, enhance and retain client trust."
Taussig credits the new fully-outfitted multimedia conference room in setting a new standard for client presentations and notes a cost savings due to the more efficient layout and natural lighting scheme.
