NEWARK, UNITED KINGDOM, May 17, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Harvey Wood, Director of Clean Rivers Trust, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in geological investigation and environmental treatment planning.
Mr. Wood is currently the director of a nonprofit organization formed in 1990 in response to a decline in the water quality in the River Trent, UK. In 1993, it became a national body with a staff of more than 70 people dedicated to ensuring water quality. Clean Rivers Trust investigates mine water pollution and water-related resources. Environmental samples obtained are then used to develop plans for treatment. One way Clean Rivers Trust accomplishes this is through sewage treatment.
Mr. Wood uses his 22 years of experience to manage the organization. He also works with governments in other parts of the world by teaming with parliament groups and giving evidence to parliamentary committees. He attributes his success to his determination. Mr. Wood is the author of two books on mine water cleanup.
Mr. Wood received his Master's Degree in Psychology from the University of Bristol and earned a degree in Fine Arts and Painting in London. He is a member of The International Water Association and is a fellow of both the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) and The Geological Society of London. In five years, Mr. Wood hopes to see the development of sewage systems underway.
