www.sahamgroup.com), has signed a strategic partnership with Cegedim Activ, a subsidiary of Cegedim.
This agreement seeks to develop Cegedim Activ health management solutions in African, Maghrebian and Middle Eastern markets.
The first phase of this partnership will be materialized by early 2013, with a project in Angola.
Saham Finances, first Pan-African insurance group which has established a substantial presence in the Middle East, announces the signing of a cooperation agreement with Cegedim Activ, a benchmark provider of software and service packages related to life and health insurance.
This agreement lays the foundation for a comprehensive and ambitious partnership under which Cegedim Activ will equip SAHAM Group's subsidiaries specializing in "Third Party Health Management" and SAHAM Group's insurance companies which manage their health risk internally, in Africa and in the Middle East.
To support their great ambitions, Saham Finances and Cegedim Activ decided to set up a joint venture in January 2013. This joint venture will enable the two sides to harness skills and resources to ensure the deployment, business assistance and support of IT solutions designed for Saham Group's health subsidiaries in more than 50 countries.
With the creation of ISAAF SANTE, Saham Finances, which has an international expertise and know-how in the field of TPA (Third Party Administrator or Third Party Management) through its Colina subsidiaries in Africa, is also becoming a pioneer in Morocco.
The ambitions of a Partnership
The agreement lays the foundation for a technological partnership, based on Cegedim Activ's health Insurance management solutions, and aims to promote activities of Saham Finances' TPA subsidiaries in Africa and the Middle East.
This partnership will make it possible to provide garantors (insurers, mutual companies, entreprises, Social Security Funds) with "Turnkey" solutions for the management of health Expenses. These solutions are at the forefront of technological progress, are devised with genuine know-how and propose immediately available management platforms to guarantors without any prior investments, which are usually quite heavy.
Saham Finances and Cegedim Activ are sharing the same ambitions and seeking the same goals: expand in the African continent and transcend the usual range of their intervention.
Cegedim Activ is the first European developer of "Health" software packages. Some 40 million people are managed by their software packages, a token of complementarity and the beginning of a steady partnership with Saham Finances.
