DUSSELDORF, GERMANY, March 16, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- After two years of development, SecurEmergency's opening of a new entity in Europe there is a campaign now on the world's funding platform Indiegogo. Help Securing First Responders!
Usually, at a fire we first turn off the structure's electrical system so that the fire crews can safely use water for fighting the fire. However, with a photovoltaic system on the roof there is no "off" switch. The panels and the conduit wires to the inverter are always on. What is missing is protection for the firefighters from high voltages - up to 1000 V and many thousands of Watts. This state of affairs can be lethal!
The system consists of a special fluid which is opaque and is itself a fire extinguishing agent. We add a high pressure pump (230 bar), a high pressure hose, and a trigger grip wand with a special nozzle. The SecuredSolar fluid is forced at a high ejection speed from the jet pistol nozzle, it collides with the air and becomes atomized. It then adheres to the PVC panels and cures in just minutes. Once a PV panel array is fully coated its voltage immediately drops to zero MAKING IT SAFE FOR THE CREWS. (And it is also a very effective fire extinguishing agent!)

SecurEmergency Europe was founded by Axel Pawlowsky based on a Joint Venture with Bill Belko's SecureEmergency Corp. in San Diego, California (USA). They explored several possibilities to secure first responders better while they are doing their job. Bill is electric engineer and inventor. He has developed a lot of solutions in his life which were often well introduced in the markets. Many years he was CEO of Ragan Technologies (www.ragantech.com) and other companies. When he saw on TV that fire departments have problems arriving at scene when PV is installed he knew immediately that no switch can help, that it would be much better to block the light entrance directly on the panel.
He came up to Axel, who is a business developer in the fire & rescue arena. Axel has been working since nearly 30 years in the fire apparatus industry for major companies like Oshkosh, Iturri (Protec Fire) and Ziegler. He brought in then his experience solving the task to bring the fluid firemanfriendly to the roof. And this under consideration of fully safety for firefighters.
Soon Ralf joined the team, who knows Axel when they were volunteers. Ralf is graduated safety engineer with focus on fire and explosion protection. Almost 15 years he was Fire Chief in Kaarst, founded Safe-Equip GmbH and Safe-Tec GmbH in the field of services for fire departments and industry. In Germany, the municipalities must regularly prepare a fire protection requirements plan, where Ralf is consulting them. Finally he served some years as Fire Marshall and also supported fire departments on major disasters.
So the team had the ideal mix to end-develop Bill's marvellous invention into a system to secure first responders which is:
