Invisalign and Invisalign Teen
Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible to the naked eye: 3-D computer technology is used to create your customized aligners. After consulting with
Dr. Jorgensen to determine what needs to be corrected, he take impressions of your teeth and sends them to Invisalign which then uses advanced computer technology to finely calibrate a sequence of aligners needed.
Depending on your treatment plan, this could mean as few as 10 or as many as 30 aligners. You'll wear each aligner for about two weeks, taking it out for eating, brushing, and flossing. As you replace each aligner with the next, your teeth gradually move into the final alignment prescribed by Dr J.
Clear Braces (Plastic)
For those patients who prefer their braces to be less conspicuous, Dr. Jorgensen offers an aesthetic bracket. The plastic brackets are made of a composite material that is translucent as well as stain and wear resistant. Comments Dr. Jorgensen, "Unlike ceramic brackets that can fracture the enamel when removed, plastic brackets are removed similar to metal brackets". Also, plastic brackets do not wear the enamel of opposing teeth like ceramic brackets.
Metal
Metal braces have become much smaller since the earlier days of orthodontics. The micro-arch braces used at Jorgensen Orthodontics facilitate hygiene and minimize patient discomfort from irritation. Nickel titanium wires placed in the braces are super-elastic and allow for easier alignment of crowded teeth with less discomfort.
