RIVERSIDE, CA, March 21, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- HomeAid Inland Empire has established over 150 collection box locations for its 4th annual Essentials for Young Lives campaign, a community-wide effort to gather much-needed baby care items for infants and toddlers who reside in homeless shelters across San Bernardino and Riverside counties. The 2013 Essentials collection drive will take place March 22-29.

The goal for this year's Essentials campaign is to collect more than 10,000 baby care items that will distributed to seven HomeAid Inland Empire service provider partners that provide shelter facilities and services for homeless women and families with infants and toddlers.

Businesses, community organizations and individuals are invited to participate in the drive by collecting essential baby items including disposable diapers, baby wipes, baby food and baby hygiene products, as well as paper products like paper towels, toilet paper and tissues.

HomeAid Inland Empire's corporate partners like US Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente Hospital, Envoy Mortgage, and iMortgage, as well as the Baldy View and Riverside County chapters of the Building Industry Association (BIA) are providing either funding or volunteer logistical and collection support for this important community involvement event. HomeAid Inland Empire Board members Kaytee Lett of US Bank Home Loans and Danielle Gonzalez of Lawyer's Title are the 2013 Essential for Young Lives committee co-chairs.

Essentials for Young Lives collection boxes will be located at several bank branches and other business offices throughout the Inland Empire, as well as the Frank Augustus Miller Middle School in Riverside. All of the baby care items collected will be warehoused and inventoried at Sunrise Custom Storage in Riverside.

Among the recipients of the Essentials baby care item donations from this year's collection campaign are: Mary's Mercy Center's Veronica's Home and Mary's Table charity operations in San Bernardino; Path of Life Ministries' Family and King Hall shelter facilities in Riverside; Project T.O.U.C.H. in Temecula; Foothill Family Shelter in Upland; and Inland Empire Rescue Mission in Corona, Valley Restart Center in Hemet, and the LSS Genesis House and Amelia's Light Community Care Centers in Riverside, all HomeAid Inland Empire service provider partners.

HomeAid Inland Empire is a non-profit organization that works with various service provider partners to renovate or build dignified, quality shelter facilities to temporarily house homeless individuals and families in Riverside and San Bernardino counties as they try to rebuild their lives.

"The volunteer and collection location response from our corporate partners to the Essentials campaign this year has been tremendous. We have over 200 volunteers and significantly more collection locations than we had last year," said Ray Osborne, Executive Director of HomeAid Inland Empire. "Because of this outstanding support for our annual Essentials for Young Lives community involvement collection campaign, we are able to heighten awareness of the increasing number of young children who are being impacted by the homelessness situation in the area."
