Dr. Stephanie Wong works around her patients' busy schedules by installing CEREC technology at her Honolulu family dentistry. Check out the advantages below!
HONOLULU, HI, January 01, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/
-- It's no surprise many people wish to enjoy a stress-free lifestyle, but sometimes that's difficult to achieve, especially with a pile of daily tasks to sort through. Time seems to be running more and more short these days, and moments of rest seem like a fleeting dream. When you have a dental problem, you don't look forward to adjusting your schedule. And it's an even bigger hassle when you need to make free time for more than one dental visit.
"No one has time. That seems to be the common excuse many people will think of when they cancel or don't even schedule a dental appointment. I want my patients to receive needed treatment, so they can improve their oral health. But I don't want to take up more time than they can give me. That is why I installed CEREC technology in my Honolulu family dentistry office," says Dr. Stephanie Wong, dentist in Honolulu, HI.
What is CEREC?
The acronym, CEREC, stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, and this innovative dental technology boasts amazing results and one advantage that patients can't seem to pass up-CEREC one-visit crowns. In Honolulu, Dr. Wong will recommend a crown for a few different reasons. A patient may need a crown to support a loose or damaged tooth (chip, crack, enamel erosion, etc.). A weakened tooth needs to be stabilized and protected from plaque bacteria and biting pressure. In the past, patients received golden or silver crowns, but today's technology allows dentist to offer cosmetic crowns at a fraction of the time.
Dr. Wong uses CEREC technology to provide high-resolution images of a tooth to help create a high-quality crown to perfectly fit over the treated tooth-this is possible with the use of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM). The high-definition images assist with precise design of a tooth crown. Once a crown design is created, a block of ceramic material is placed in a milling chamber where the crown is produced.
Did we mention that CEREC one-visit crowns in Honolulu only take one office visit? Yes, a patient can leave the dentist office with a new crown, not a temporary one, after just one dental visit. CEREC same-day crowns save time, but that doesn't mean it's a rushed process. CEREC technology is precision dentistry at its best. The look and feel of a CEREC crown will mimic your natural teeth.
