COLUMBUS, OH, March 03, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Columbus Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is accepting nominations for the 2010 Distinguished Communicator Award. The Distinguished Communicator is selected based on contribution to and leadership in the communication profession in the greater Columbus area, career achievement, as well as community involvement.

Every year, the IABC/Columbus' Distinguished Communicator is an outstanding and passionate role model in the Columbus area that has earned the spotlight, not only for dedication to the communication profession, but for pouring energy and spirit into making our communities better places to live.

In 2009, the Distinguished Communicator honored Cameron James, CEO of Mills James Productions for his career in audio-visual communications and his community involvement with the International Dyslexia Association. In 2008 Donna A.James, president of Lardon & Associates, was recognized Distinguished Communicator for her professional accomplishments and her commitment to the Center for Healthy Families.

"You've known them, you've met them, and you've read about them — communication professionals who exhibit one-of-a-kind integrity and vision," says KayAnn Taylor Rutter, president of the Columbus Chapter of IABC. "Without knowing it, they raise the bar for success and garner your respect. They are outstanding and passionate role models in the Greater Columbus area that have earned the spotllight, not only for their dedication to the profession, but for how they have poured their energy and spirit into making our communities better places to live. Now is your chance to recognize their strength by nominating them as IABC/Columbus' 2010 Distinguished Communicator."
