LOS ANGELES, CA, October 28, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- IM5, considered the nation's most popular and ethnically diverse boy band, will perform at Walk for Kids Growth charity fundraiser on Dec. 7, 2013 at Griffith Park, in Los Angeles. The event is hosted by the Human Growth Foundation in partnership with the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles Center for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. The event is an effort to increase awareness of childhood growth disorders, early diagnosis and treatment, and to raise funds for research, education, support and advocacy. IM5 is comprised of band members Cole Pendery, Dalton Rapattoni, Dana Vaughns, Gabe Morales and Will Jay who boast their own unique style that fuses together hook driven pop melodies, authentic vocal harmonies, and full blown dance routines. Unlike some of their other boy band predecessors and peers, the band also incorporates real instrumentation into their lives sets and recordings with Dalton Rapattoni on guitar and Will Jay on piano. Founded by "American Idol" creator Simon Fuller, media icon Perez Hilton and acclaimed tour director Jamie King, IM5 was discovered on a national talent search which began in 2011.
Walk for Kids Growth is hosted by actor/comedian Mark Christopher Lawrence ("GLEE" and "Chuck") and KABC Radio host Dr. Tony O'Donnell. The charitable event will also feature display booths, refreshments, auction, giveaways, and a celebrity Meet & Greet/Autograph signing tent.
Research shows 48% of children in the United States evaluated with the two most common forms of growth failure have gone undiagnosed.
