SYDNEY, NSW, AUSTRALIA, February 28, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Babette Hayes has been acknowledged by Stanford Who's Who as a result of her extraordinary work in the field of Interior Design. As Principal of Babette Hayes Design she has displayed the vision and dedication necessary to be among the best since 1966.

Babette has been working with clients, architects, builders and developers for over 40 years as an interior designer/decorator and color consultant. She has also published numerous books and presented a substantial amount of lectures. Her main focus is on creating unique interiors that coincide with her clients' needs as well as interpreting their desires and aspirations. Comfort and inspiration are the type of feelings that Babette wishes to evoke through her design. It is of the utmost importance that her creations reflect the individual spirit of the particular client she is serving.

Ms. Hayes received her initial education in interior and mural design in England, learning the rest of the way through her own valuable experience. She began her ascent towards the heights she has reached today by styling interiors for Ideal Home Magazine, Good Housekeeping and English House & Garden. She also wrote cookery columns for Queen Magazine and Telegraph in London before making her way to Australia to become the nation's first Design Stylist.

Soon after, Babette became a household name during her time as a Design Stylist for Australian Home Journal. From there she moved on to Belle where she spent a decade as a Design Consultant while simultaneously working as Interior Design Editor for Womens Weekly. Overall, Babette has had quite a storied career in the field and continues to improve her work and gather accomplishments as each day arrives.

Babette was made a member of the Australian Interior Design Society in 1974. She is also an accredited member of the Design Institute of Australia and on the Committee of the Colour Society of Australia. Ms. Hayes greatly enjoys theater and reading in the time away from her demanding schedule.
