Innovative Monthly Wine Club Combines Theology and Oenology
Learning about wine has never been so inspirational.

/24-7PressRelease/ - May 09, 2008 - PORTLAND, OREGON -- While there isn't empirical proof of this, it's probably safe to guess that there wasn't a single sermon preached from any American pulpit last Sunday praising the consumption of wine. Come to think of it, there probably hasn't been one in over 100 years, if ever. Oh, there were probably lots of sermons mentioning wine, but not in a positive way. One gets the impression that drinking wine is a sin.

It isn't. At least, not according to the Bible.

But you're unlikely to hear the whole story from the pulpit. In the interest of social betterment, you'll only hear the passages with prohibitions on overindulgence, like the shameful story of Noah getting completely blitzed, to the point of passing out buck naked and humiliating himself, or the Old Testament exhortation to "Be not drunk with wine."

Despite this emphasis on the existing warnings, the topic of wine throughout the Bible is handled in an overwhelmingly positive way. But you'll have to study it for yourself if you want to know the whole truth.

Or you could join The MiracleWineClub.com. It's a new wine-of-the-month club that provides members with two bottles of wine chosen specifically for their educational value (and they're darn tasty, too), along with the some unique educational materials to help take the mystery out of buying, tasting and enjoying wine. Each MiracleWineClub.com shipments also includes two new lessons in a unique Bible study, focusing on the imagery and use of wine, winemaking, vineyards and vines in the Old and New Testaments.

For those who want to learn about wine but really couldn't care less about the religious aspect, there is a second option called The LearnWineClub.com. The LearnWineClub.com members get the same killer wines and all the educational material, sans the Bible studies.

The LearnWineClub.com and the MiracleWineClub.com provide the opportunity for everyone to learn about wine in the comfort of their own home, on their time schedule. The materials are designed for use by couples or small groups, making the learning process a social activity that can build and strengthen relationships.

LearnWineClub.com and MiracleWineClub.com are based in Beaverton, Oregon. Members in the local area are welcome to have their club shipments delivered to a Portland wine shop for pickup, thus avoiding the cost of shipping. Shipping outside of Oregon is tricky, and there are many states that do not allow individual consumers to have wine delivered to their home from out-of-state retailers. For members living in these closed states, both the LearnWineClub.com and the MiracleWineClub.com are available in "No Ship" versions. The "No Ship" members will receive all the same educational materials but not the wine. Learn Wine Club, Inc. will assist any member in locating the club wines locally upon request.

Learn Wine Club, Inc. was started in 2007 with the goal of teaching America about wine in a fun and simple way, and to provide a positive Biblical perspective on wine for interested members. The people behind the club are not sommeliers or wine makers. They are regular guys who have had a long-term fascinated with wine, love God, and wish to share their passions with others wanting to learn about wine, whether from a secular or spiritual perspective. The club is also a philanthropic endeavor, with 10% of the annual profits going to wine industry-related charities.
