3. Background
Since assuming the role of president in 1967, Ryuichi Ishida has held the position for 42 years and 5 months. During this time, the company has expanded its operations from weighing machinery to a variety of fields including packaging, inspection, and display technology, while also promoting overseas expansion.

In 2007, Mr. Ishida announced his intention to hand over the management of the company to the next generation at some time in the near future. This time has arrived, and the new appointment has been decided by the annual shareholders meeting and the meeting of the board of directors.

From May 19, 2010, Takahide Ishida will take over as the company's new president and will work vigorously to ensure the growth of Ishida and the Ishida Group.
