Ms. Roberts has over 30 years of experience in engineering, with five years as vice president of engineering services and support for NetApp. She became involved in her profession through her early career in compiler and down system support development.
Throughout the course of her career, she has gained an astute ability to drive global teams who deliver tools, products and projects — on time and on budget. She specializes in quality focus, and engineering tools and infrastructure. She is responsible for running a 500-person global organization, providing system-level quality focused thinking. This role requires a total understanding of how customers use NetApp network data storage products and how to build world class software. She attributes her success to her knowledge of software engineering, openness and ability to listen to others. Working in a service organization is conducive to these traits. In the near future, Ms. Roberts intends to continue working in her current capacity, while mentoring other women within her company. She is considering executive coaching as a possible career choice after leaving NetApp.
Ms. Roberts received an executive certificate from the Michigan Institute of Technology. She is a member of Women in Technology and the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology.
