Jerry Doty writes books based on his life experiences with the judicial system

ALEXANDRIA, IN, November 10, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jerry Doty has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in writing.

Jerry Doty, who sometimes writes under the pen name Jerry Vandergriff, has seven years of experience as a writer of books that are based on his life experiences. He became involved in his profession because he wanted people to know about his personal experiences with the judicial system, and he attributes his success to his perseverance. Mr. Doty wrote his first novel "It Seemed Entirely Normal" under the pen name Jerry Vandergriff. He is currently writing his second novel and hopes to complete it this winter.

Mr. Doty received his high school diploma upon graduating Marion Adams High School in Sheridan, Indiana in 1979. His 42 year old father, an employee of Butler University for over twenty years passed away soon after his graduation. Having few opportunities in the small farm town he lived in, not being a farmer, Jerry joined the Air Force and served his country for nearly six years working in the field of Nuclear Weapons Security. He also spent many hours in the base law library studying military and criminal law cases.

Over the years Mr. Doty has since worked in many fields of employment providing for research for his current writing profession. Jerry is a member of the American Legion and stays active in the community. His wife and occasional proof reader of his writing has a Masters Degree and teaches fifth grade at a local elementary school.
