Mr. Black has 26 years of professional experience in the field of Respiratory Care. At Lourdes, Jim is most comfortable providing critical care in the Intensive Care Unit. Jim is also a part time supervisor for the Respiratory Care Department. He also served at The Hospital in Sidney for 23 years where he held positions as staff therapist, Director of Quality and Risk management, supervisor for Cardiac Rehabilitation, supervisor of Cardio Pulmonary Services, and coordinator for in-service-education. He is a member of both the national and NYS medical reserve pool. From 1973 to 1988 he was a volunteer fireman and medic. Mr. Black attributes his success to dedication to his field and hard work.

A member of the American Association for Respiratory Care, Mr. Black completed coursework, plus 30, from the University of Wisconsin in 2003. He received his Bachelor's Degree in 1973 from Syracuse University and in 1992, he became a national board registered respiratory therapist.
