    RIVERSIDE, CA October 9, 2012 /Worldwide Who's Who/ ---A visionary leader with compassion for persons experienceing bipolar and depression disorders, Jo Ann Martin took up the mantle to advocate on their behalf. With strong leadership sklls, she is the founder and president of Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance, a nonprofit organization providing conferences on mood disorders. Cognizant of the challenges and hoping to create awareness, she distributes free information packets and educational materials about the disorder and challenges that may occur. To further the cause, Ms. Martin holds annual international scientific conferences, inviting the experts to discuss and speak on the disorders. Diligent and multifaceted, she also conducts surveys, provide patient-run support groups, handle fundraising, coordinates awareness shows and teach music to blind students in Iowa for the past 20 years.

For her diligence and continued dedication, she has been bestowed with numerous awards including an Award for Dedication from the Riverside County Department of Mental Health in 2002. Ms. Martin also was honored with the Dorothy Jefferson Lifetime Achievement Award and Certificate of Recognition from California State Assembly in 2000. A remarkable individual, she has been featured in peer-reviewed journals.
