JENKINTOWN, PA, October 15, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joann V. Sosler, O.S.B.M. Provincial Treasurer for the Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for her dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of her ministry.
For 50 years, Sr. Joann Sosler, O.S.B.M. has been a woman of ministry supported by prayer with The Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great. Her experiences have been in elementary, secondary and religious education throughout her profession as an educator. She has taught mathematics for 20 years and has been principal for eight of those years.
During the most recent phase of her ministry Sister Joann conducts developmental and spiritual workshops for new members of the community and for continued community enrichment. For seventeen years she has combined education together with finance as Treasurer of the Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great, Jesus Lover of Humanity Province. She is responsible for managing the finances, bookkeeping and monitoring investments. She oversees the Financial Advisory Board of the religious community, reports and communicates with the Order's administration located in Rome and has shared her expertise on many occasions at the international level.
Sister Joann Sosler received her Master's Degree in the Teaching of Mathematics in 1981 and her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from Fordham University, NY. She is a member of the National Association for Treasurers of Religious Institutes, the Religious Formation Conference and the Resource Center for Religious Institutes.
