/Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Jocelyn D. Wright, Principal of Clayton County Public Schools' Brown Elementary School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of school administration.
With 30 years of experience as an educator, Ms. Wright is recognized as an expert in performance and change leadership. She assumed her current position as an administrator in 2000. Her responsibilities include supervising all faculty members, students, custodians, cafeteria employees and bus drivers, and addressing student disciplinary issues. As an administrator, Ms. Wright places emphasis on getting all interested parties, from teachers to students and their parents, to become involved in all school issues. She enjoys working with people and considers motivating them to work together towards a common goal to be the most challenging and rewarding aspect of her career. She attributes her success to the inspiration and guidance that she received from her parents, both of whom were educators.
Ms. Wright earned her Educational Specialist Degree in Administration and Supervision in 2000 from Lincoln Memorial University. Her professional affiliations include the Georgia Association of Educators, the National Education Association, the National Association of Elementary School Principals, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Phi Delta Kappa. She participates regularly in Relay For Life and gives generously to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. Ms. Wright looks forward to mentoring more teachers to become effective and efficient leaders.
