- Gahanna, OH, March 14, 2008, Judith A. Harris, Ph.D., owner and director of the private consulting practice Dr. Judith A. Harris, Ph.D., has been recognized by
Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of health administration and advocacy.
Dr. Harris has an impressive background in health administration and advocacy, with a total of 31 years in her profession - 10 of those years owning her own practice. She was drawn to her field after her son was born with severe disabilities - she needed to know why and how that came to be. The primary responsibilities of her position include administration and public speaking on an international level regarding health and disability. She traveled to China as a health advocacy ambassador and visited five cities to speak with healthcare and university professionals about women's and children's healthcare issues. Most recently, Dr. Harris was invited to participate in a People to People International program in Egypt.
Dr. Harris received a Ph.D. in Health Administration from Ohio State University and Kennedy Western University; she received her Master's Degree in Human Development and Master's Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Dayton. She holds Bachelor's Degrees in Public Administration, Psychology, Special Education, Legislative Laws, Fine Arts and Education. Ms. Harris is a member of the American Association of University Women, The Association of University Programs in Health Administration, the American Business Women's Association and the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League. She is the Director of Programs for the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.
