STATEN ISLAND, NY, December 9, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Julie A. Browne, Clinical Consultant and Behavioral Specialist at Independent Living Association, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of counseling psychology.
Ms. Browne has been working with developmentally disabled adults for the past three years. She is responsible for developing treatment plans, conferring with staff, interacting with psychiatrists, and conducting individual and group counseling sessions as well as psychological assessments for patients.
Ms. Browne received her Master of Arts and Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2005. She attributes her success to the education she received at Teachers College, Columbia University and the support she receives from her family. She aspires to obtain her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and establish her own counseling center for developmentally disabled adults.
