Pauma Valley, CA, September 14, 2008, Julie A. Schneider Ljubenkov, Artist, Naturalist and Educator has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of fine art.

With extensive experience in watercolor, mosaics and scientific illustration, Ms. Ljubenkov specializes in drawing and painting nature subjects, most notably botanical and landscape scenes. At her unique mountain home, she conducts workshops and special events, displaying her drawings, sketches, mosaic art, watercolor, and landscape painting. In addition, she teaches art classes for children and adults at the University of California San Diego, the University of La Verne, MiraCosta College, and for the City of Escondido at the East Valley Community Center.

An accomplished artist, Ms. Ljubenkov's work has been exhibited throughout the United States and Canada. Her botanical research was published by the Southern California Botanists in their scientific journal Crossosoma. She was particularly proud to have had her watercolor portraits of American wildflowers exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art's PS1 Contemporary Arts Center in New York City. Ms. Ljubenkov received her Master of Fine Arts from California State University, Long Beach in 1985 and is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists and the Society of American Mosaic Artists.

Ms. Ljubenkov's home and art studio recently burned down in the 2007 San Diego wildfires. With the help of CARe (Community Assisted Recovery), the Federal Government's Disaster Loan program, and support from friends, colleagues, family and lots of hard work, Ms. Ljubenkov is looking forward to moving back to her ranch very soon.
