Ms. Cox-Dennis is the founder of The Apalachicola Parks Foundation & Children's Fund, and has made contributions to many political campaigns and nonprofit organizations in North Florida over the past fifteen years. She has also worked as a screenwriter, as an event coordinator for Michelle Obama and in major film houses in Los Angeles. Ms. Cox-Dennis holds degrees in English literature, anthropology and classical Latin from the University California, Santa Barbara, and she currently resides with her husband and two children, between homes in Tallahassee and Apalachicola on the Forgotten Coast of Florida. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, scuba diving and organic gardening.
