SANDTON, SOUTH AFRICA, January 29, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kazeem Ademola Babalola, Chief Technology Officer of Research and Development for the FASYL Technology Group, has been named a Worldwide Branding Executive of the Year in Information Technology. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.
Mr. Babalola has 13 years of professional experience, with four years as the Chief Technology Officer of FASYL Technology Group. Over the years, he has established himself as an expert in corporate strategy analysis and business process alignment, as well as post merger/acquisition IT integration, turnkey project management in technology space, and software solution development. On a daily basis, Mr. Babalola works with executive management as a director to optimize existing strategy and to articulate new corporate strategic objectives and corresponding plans to deliver the business goals in the short and long term. He also oversees overall responsibility for the company's technology vision as chief technology offer and provides leadership for all aspects of technology-related initiative within the group spanning 11 countries. Mr. Babalola supervises the entire activities within the software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing and delivery.
Mr. Babalola manages strategic partnership with various OEMs like IBM, Oracle, FundTech, and Microsoft. He is responsible for managing all research and development for new technology and IP initiatives, as well as supervising the day-to-day management of technology operations across the group, which includes budget and expense management, project management, resource management and defect management. Mr. Babalola also supervises the ongoing implementation of CMMI methodology for software and service management, working in conjunction with the marketing team on products pre-sales activities and product expansion in Sub-Sahara Africa. Mr. Babalola is focused and result driven with track record of IT projects delivery success. He is an excellent team leader with strong inclination for agile technology solution and infrastructure for service excellence and business competitiveness. He has 13 years of experience with enterprise software solutions, mainly with Oracle technologies including database, data analytics and Oracle core banking application.
Looking back, Mr. Babalola attributes his success to his hard work and belief in himself. He considers himself privileged, and used his background and exposure to drive entrepreneurship in South Africa to create jobs and opportunities for the upcoming generation. Also, he has a mentorship program and is currently working with five people. He became involved in his profession because he has a computer science background; his foster father was one of the first in his country to study computer science, and he was exposed to it at an early age. Mr. Babalola studied computer science and technology from a university, and worked as a software programmer. He then moved up to a technology executive role.
Mr. Babalola received an MBA in strategy from Warwick Business School and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Federal University of Technology Owerri. He is a member of the Project Management Institute, as well as the Computer Science Association, Nigeria. In years to come, Mr. Babalola plans on developing a concept to translate software solutions, and offer a platform to fit his people to improve knowledge and communicate better. He wants to do business in a more cost-effective way.
