Luna considers that life is too short not to enjoy the best food, drink and company, creating devilishly wicked desserts, that are as good for the soul as they are for the body. Bryant's childhood inspirations were his grandparents in Memphis, Tennessee, where he learned to farm, cook and appreciate good food. For the past several years, he has worked to establish a more equitable and sustaining food system, using food to enhance and understand the connections "between poverty, structural racism, and food insecurity."
