Cedar and Sage Colorado is an accredited 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to building a community sustainability center within an underserved neighborhood. All organizational profits are committed toward attaining this goal.
Ms. Felts co-founded this organization one year ago and is now actively involved in its ongoing growth in the role of executive director. Although new to the position, she is already displaying an expertise for strategic leadership. Her strong understanding of this area continues to support her in ongoing efforts to further the success of Cedar and Sage. In particular, Ms. Felts utilizes these strengths while overseeing the deconstruction of materials, as well as sales, administration and the business side of the organization. Additionally, Ms. Felts is leading the community outreach component of this process in order to genuinely understand what the targeted communities want/need and feel they are not receiving.
Passionate about her work, as well as honest and open-minded, she has quickly risen to success. She draws on a strong academic background, having first graduated from Antioch University Seattle with a BA in social environmental change and justice. Ms. Felts then went on to earn a master's degree in environmental leadership from Naropa University and, today, she is also certified as an authentic leader.
