Kwabena Ervin Garrison Asomani Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals

Kwabena Ervin Garrison Asomani followed his family's footsteps

TEMPLE HILLS, MD, September 7, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kwabena Ervin Garrison Asomani, Technology Educator for Prince George's County Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of technology instruction.

Mr. Asomani has six years of experience as a technology instructor for Prince George's County Public Schools, the second largest school system in the state of Maryland and the 18th largest in the nation. He works at the Thurgood Marshall Middle School in Technology, where he is responsible for instructing students in Microsoft Office applications, which include web design, graphic design and multimedia presentations. Students also receive techniques in conducting Internet research. Under the dynamic leadership of Principal K. Fossett Thurgood Marshall students and staff received a state-of-the-art computer lab where students can achieve a high level of success. Mrs. Fossett also provided students with a state-of-the-art gymnasium, which helped the Boys' basketball team become the 2008-2009 South Regional Champions.

Attributing his success to his parents who instilled good work ethics in him, Mr. Asomani followed his mother and sister's footsteps into the field of education. He has received his Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (2002) and Master's Degree in Management Information Systems (2005). Mr. Asomani will receive his Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Technology Education from Bowie State University in May 2010.

In his spare time, Mr. Asomani helps children with diabetes. A diabetic patient himself since the age of 12, he is a member of the Diabetes Exercise and Sports Association and the American Diabetes Association (ADA), Diabetes Exercise Sports Association (DESA), United States Chess Federation (USCF) and International Technology Education Association (ITEA).

In the coming years, Mr. Asomani plans to pursue the establishment of his prospective company Diabetic Data Solution Systems (DDSS) that has a United States patent on continuous glucose monitoring technologies.
