BANGKOK, THAILAND, September 03, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Prinncipal, Bangkok's leading IELTS institute, is celebrating its sixth successful year by offering scholarships for English language courses designed to help Thailand's IELTS test candidates achieve the scores they desire. ---
Prinncipal's 6th anniversary takes place on 9 September, 2013 and to mark the occasion owner Prinn Sukriket, PhD is offering full scholarships for courses that prepare prospective IELTS candidates for the rigors of the IELTS test.
"The last six years have seen Prinncipal enjoy a remarkable level of success," explained Mr. Sukriket. "The institute has been able to help thousands of students achieve the IELTS scores they require and to celebrate our achievements we are offering 6 full IELTS course scholarships to prospective IELTS candidates in Thailand - that's one full course free of charge for each year we have been in operation. Hopefully from now on this will be an annual event".
The IELTS test (otherwise known as the "International English Language Testing System") is used to determine a person's ability to read, write and speak English. It also establishes a person's ability to listen to the spoken language. The test is owned by the British Council, IDP: Australia and University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, and over the last decade it has become the de facto English language testing standard for people wishing to study and work in countries like Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Canada. The test is also increasingly accepted at colleges and universities in the United States.
The IELTS test is extremely demanding, requiring candidates complete a 30-minute listening test, a 60-minute reading test, a 60-minute writing test, and an 11-14 minute speaking test conducted by a native English speaker. Without proper preparation, many candidates fail to achieve the IELTS score educational institutions and immigration agencies require.
Prinncipal's IELTS courses give prospective candidates insights into the requirements of each component of the IELTS test and help them develop the listening, reading, writing and speaking skills they need to achieve the score they desire. Whereas many Bangkok institutions rely on an exclusively foreign or Thai team of teachers to deliver courses, Prinncipal offers a unique blend of both approaches.
"We are fortunate to have a team that includes qualified Thai teachers who have already achieved very high IELTS scores alongside some specialist foreign teachers," added Mr. Sukriket. "Rather than having one teacher focus on all four skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking), our teachers specialize in one particular area. Generally, our Thai teachers provide listening, reading and writing skills training, while we have a British member of staff who was formerly an IELTS assessor who addresses our students' speaking skills. It's a proven approach and one we are very proud of."
Prinncipal's scholarships are available to Thai citizens planning to take the academic version of the IELTS test. The scholarships are available to people of any age and applications should be submitted before 30 September 2013. Successful candidates must take courses before the end of July 2014.
To apply prospective candidates should write a 300 word essay entitled "Studying abroad will help my country". Submissions will be judged by Prinncipal's management and scholarships awarded to those who demonstrate both a good standard of English, and a clear vision for how their foreign study can benefit Thailand.
