Legal Aid of Manasota to Participate in 36-Hour Giving Challenge, March 5-6 -- Legal Aid Will Benefit From the Community's Online Donations Through www.GivingPartnerChallenge.org

    SARASOTA, FL, March 03, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Legal Aid of Manasota, Inc. (www.legalaidofmanasota.org) is one of 300 charitable organizations throughout Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties that will benefit from donations by area residents who support their favorite charity by donating online at http://www.GivingPartnerChallenge.org, from March 5 at 7 AM thru March 6 at 7 PM. The goal of the 36-Hour Giving Challenge is to raise $3 million to benefit local nonprofits.

More than $648,000 will be available to match online donations and award incentive grants during the fast-paced 36-Hour Giving Challenge. Presenting partners Community Foundation of Sarasota County and The Patterson Foundation make the 36-Hour Giving Challenge possible, with sponsorship from Gulf Coast Community Foundation, Manatee Community Foundation, Charlotte Community Foundation and William G. and Marie Selby Foundation.

Money donated to Legal Aid of Manasota will directly benefit low-income individuals and families by providing free legal services. In conjunction with the Giving Challenge, Legal Aid will hold a fundraiser on Tuesday, March 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Caragiulos Restaurant in downtown Sarasota. All proceeds go to Legal Aid's Giving Challenge Fund. The public is invited.

"The 36 Hour Giving Challenge offers donors the opportunity to provide funds that will help our clients lead more productive lives".
