LUTON, UK, December 18, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Luton's philanthropist businessman, Mr. Jan Telensky of Europe's leading home study college, SkillsTrain, based in Collingdon Street, Luton, has donated digital cameras and PC's to the children of Flamstead Village School, Flamstead.

The generous benefactor arranged for the equipment to be delivered and installed before visiting the children and telling them that as a thank-you for their new computers, they should be very good, sit still and do what their teachers asked.

Deputy Head Teacher Mrs. Debbie Charlton said "We couldn't believe how captivated the children were, they sat so still while Mr. Telensky spoke to them and we're hoping they'll take heed of his words! They were absolutely delighted with the new IT equipment and we are extremely grateful to Mr. Telensky for his generosity in supporting the school and the children. The computers and cameras will be used not just for IT studies, but also as part of their overall curriculum. This is a real windfall for us and we cannot thank him enough".

Mr. Telensky said, "Children are our future and their education is absolutely essential to the health of our nation. IT skills are an essential part life today and if we can ensure that the children are equipped with the knowledge and skills from an early age, it will help them enormously in their future careers."

Mr. Telensky recently also donated 60,000 worth of state of the art computers to the Department of Computing at Bedfordshire University and is a founder sponsor of the regional Young People of the Year Awards (YOPEYs), which recognises and rewards young people's achievements in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire region.

SkillsTrain is Europe's leading IT Home Study College and the company has trained over 6 million students in over 60 years.
