    SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, February 12, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ernst & Young Partner Lynda Tomkins has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in financial reporting.

Specializing in reporting for acquisitions, Ms. Tomkins assists companies with the interpretation and application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Australian Accounting Standards (AASBs) to their own financial reports. She is a partner with Ernst & Young (EY), an assurance, tax, transactions and advisory services company. She is the Australian IFRS leader who brings an impressive 25 years of experience to the industry, including 10 years as a partner in financial reporting and advisory services. Lynda has worked in this field in Australia, United States, United Kingdom and Eastern Europe.

In her role with EY, Ms. Tomkins advises on the application of financial reporting standards to transactions with numerous clients across a number of different industries. A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ms. Tomkins is involved with forming the firms' views on Australian financial reporting proposals. Additionally, she liaises with the EY international network to provide views on international developments.

Ms. Tomkins obtained a master's degree in accounting and finance from Macquarie University, and a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Western Sydney. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding.
