LANCASTER, PA, February 06, 2009
/24-7PressRelease/ -- Manheim Township Ambulance Association announces the opening of the much anticipated community CPR education facet of their 2009 community outreach push. This Community Outreach program promises to educate 3,500 Manheim Township residents, business owners and regular visitors in CPR by the end of the 2012 calendar year.
Recently, the department received a $1,900.00 community grant from Wal-Mart corporate office for the addition of 10 CPR manikins, for use in the program.
"Such a donation is vital in the success in our program" said Robert Burrs, EMS Education Specialist with the ambulance service. "We're ready to not only meet, but surpass our goals. This education is just too important for people not to have."
This program will begin with a door to door business drive, beginning with businesses in Manheim Township. Oregon Dairy, Mt. Calvary Church, and Womb with a view are the first of several businesses to sign up for the program.
For additional information regarding this program, feel free to call the education department at 717-569-6622
