Dr. Harris has 19 years of experience in physical therapy, with two years as a clinical director of Access Physical Therapy & Wellness, Inc. As an expert in geriatrics, orthopedics and industrial rehabilitation, she is primarily responsible for handling patient care, managing a team of therapists, and creating strategic plans for improving patient care. Dr. Harris attributes her success to the values her parents instilled in her, her personal philosophy of not giving up until she has accomplished her goals, and the support and encouragement she receives from her family. She became involved in her profession because her father was involved in a car accident and received subpar therapy. She resolved to make the therapy experience more pleasant and helpful for others.
Dr. Harris received a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2011 and a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1994. In addition to her degrees, she is a certified DSI work solutions provider and a credentialed clinical instructor of the American Physical Therapy Association. To help give back to her community, she serves as a volunteer at the North Carolina Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association, contributing to Special Olympics athletic screening efforts. Additionally, she is an active member of her church. In years to come, Dr. Harris hopes to help grow the presence of the company in North Carolina and expand into more communities.
