    AVILLA, IN, July 10, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Mary A. Rowell, Ph.D., Library Director for Holy Cross Lutheran School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

As the media director for Holy Cross Lutheran School, Dr. Rowell specializes in research skills instruction. She is responsible for teaching library and research skills, overseeing pre-school through eighth-grade students, instructing gifted students and do all facets of library workordering. She gained experience as a classroom teacher and librarian. She attributes her success to her faith in God and to her work ethic, which she learned from her parents and a principal under whom she worked.

Dr. Rowell attained her Ph.D. in Education from Southern Illinois University in 1981 and is a member of the Association for Indiana Media Educators and the Indiana Library Federation. In the future, she would like to write children's literature and instructional materials.
