Russell brings over eight years of human resources consulting experience, and 20+ years of hands-on, Human Resources expertise working for premier organizations such as Portals Mental Health & Rehabilitation Services, Fox Entertainment Group, Baxter Healthcare, Aratex, Washington Inventory Service, and Church's Fried Chicken.
As a human resources consultant she provides full Human Resources generalist support to nonprofit and small to mid-sized companies performing such duties as building an HR infrastructure, ensuring compliance of personnel files and immigration procedures, writing employee handbooks and ADA job descriptions, administering benefits and workers' comp programs, providing counsel and guidance to senior management teams, and more. Recently, her company, The Grady Group, was chosen as one of several HR companies to partner with the State of California Chamber of Commerce as a part of their HR Consulting network.
She has served as Co-Chair on the Business Advisory Council for IAM CARES (International Association of Machinist Center for Administering Rehabilitation and Employment Services) and a former member of the Sunshine Board for PATH (People Assisting the Homeless). Mary received a certificate of special Congressional recognition for her contribution to the community by assisting individuals with disabilities. In addition, Mary's professional experience includes: 26 years in Human Resources, eight years as a professional business owner; she has worked with a Board of Directors in a non-profit setting and she spent 18 years as a corporate trainer & consultant, including being an instructor at the Pasadena School of Culinary Arts. She is a "Feed the Children" partner, and supporter of The Girls Club of Los Angeles. Currently, Mary volunteers as a trainer for the Center for Non-Profit Management, Los Angeles.
Mary was chosen "Who's Who of Women Executives 1989-1990 and she has just recently been honored with the designation of "Who's Who of Executives" for 2008-2009 by Cambridge Who's Who.
For the past eight and one half years, Mary has been an active member in Toastmasters. Though she enjoys speaking, her path in Toastmasters has led her toward leadership. In this short period of time, Mary has achieved the following:

Her Toastmasters experience has allowed her to not only promote her own personal growth and success, but she has been a positive mentor and coach for others in the organization. In August 2008, Mary was elected to serve as International Director on the Board of Directors for Toastmasters International where she will hold a seat there for two years.
Mary graduated with honors from Grambling State University, with a BS degree in Speech Pathology. While at Grambling she made the "dean's list" several times, and was selected for Who's Who among Students in American Colleges & Universities two years after entering college.
In her spare time, which is limited, she enjoys cropping (scrapbooking), movies, good food and traveling, and the company of friends and family.
Mary lives in Temple City, California with her adult son and two cats.
