Decherd, TN, August 28, 2008, Mary Kay Holt, Speech-Language Pathologist at the Southern Tennessee Medical Center, has been recognized by
Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of speech-language pathology.
As a speech-language pathologist at the Southern Tennessee Medical Center and The Rehab Center, Mrs. Holt treats several disorders throughout the course of a week. She specializes in assisting patients diagnosed with speech-language delays, dysphagia, dysarthria, voice disorders, apraxia, stroke and brain injuries. She became involved in her profession because of her desire to help others and considers assisting stroke patients regain their ability to speak to be the most rewarding aspect of her career. Mrs. Holt is proud to be able to mentor her clients and make a difference in their lives.
Mrs. Holt received her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the Tennessee State University in 1989. She earned a certificate of clinical competence and received her certification in vitalstim therapy. She is a member of the Tennessee Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She earned her second Award for Continuing Education (ACE) on April 22, 2008.
