NEW YORK, NY, February 25, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Helping to green the planet, one belly at a time... That's the motto of Latham Thomas, a wellness and birth coach who will be a featured speaker at the 4th annual New York City Vegetarian Food Festival, March 1-2, in Chelsea.
Thomas calls herself a maternity lifestyle maven and yogi. She is the author of Mama Glow: A Hip Guide to Your Fabulous Abundant Pregnancy, and is the co-founder of the Mama Glow Film Festival. She recently launched the Mama Glow Salon Series, which she describes as "a platform for birthing conversations around cocktails, panels, and discussions."
She has brought her message to a plethora of television programs, including The Dr. Oz Show, Fox News LIVE, CBS News, ABC Eyewitness News, NBC-LXTV, and Inside Edition.
A graduate of Columbia University and The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Thomas enjoys providing support to pre/postnatal women by offering culinary and nutritional advice. She lives in New York City with her son, Fulano, and their turtle, Climby.
Thomas' presentation at the Festival will take place on Sunday, March 2, 11:30 a.m. to noon. Other presenters throughout the weekend include cardiologists Dr. Joel Kahn and Dr. Robert Ostfeld, vegan athletes Greg Sher and Ellen Jaffe Jones, and stand-up comedian Myq Kaplan.
The Festival will also present musical entertainment, dance performances, children's craft activities, and food sampling. Approximately 100 vegan lifestyle vendors will be on hand showcasing their wares.
The NYC Vegetarian Food Festival will take place 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, March 1-2, at the Metropolitan Pavilion (125 West 18th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues).
