PHILADELPHIA, PA, October 09, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Matt Lichtenberg is known to many as a patron of the arts. He is a donor and overseer for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, a supporter of the Beverley Hills Center for the Performing Arts, and, generally speaking, an appreciator of the finer things. However, there are some facets of his musical and artistic tastes that might seem a bit surprising--including his love for rock band Limp Bizkit. In recent weeks, the long-dormant Bizkit has announced its return to recording music, unveiling a new single and plans for a full album. The flurry of Bizkit activity has won the attention of Matt Lichtenberg, who has issued a new press statement, expressing his enthusiasm and his excitement.

Limp Bizkit won widespread popularity in the early years of the 00's, but, in recent years, the band's activity has been minimal. The band is gearing up to return in full force, though, with singer Fred Durst revealing that the band has written and recorded enough material for a new album, or potentially even two albums. Additionally, the band has been preparing to release new music in the form of singles and music videos.

One single, called "City of Angels," has particularly captured the attention of Matt Lichtenberg. In his statement to the press, the music enthusiast expresses his delight over the new track, and also his optimism about Limp Bizkit's future. "I just heard the new Limp Bizkit single, 'City of Angels,' and it is fantastic," says Matt Lichtenberg. "Fred Durst continues to amaze me with his creativity and musical candor."

The flurry of activity follows a period of much tumult and upheaval for the Bizkit crew. The band ended a major label contract that they had enjoyed for years, and ultimately made the leap to Cash Money. A label focusing mostly on rap and hip-hop, Cash Money is run by MC Lil' Wayne. Upon the band's signing to the label, Durst himself made an appearance on a Lil' Wayne single.

The Lil' Wayne match-up is not the only collaboration in Durst's recent history. He was also featured on "Champions," a song cut with pop star Kevin Rudolf and also released by the Cash Money imprint.

Durst has revealed that Stampede of the Disco Elephants has been suggested as a title for the upcoming Bizkit full-length, but other titles are also in the running. The band has more studio time on the horizon, where it will flesh out the tracks previously laid down and plan for the release of a new record or two.

Matt Lichtenberg is a music lover and arts appreciator who lives and works in Los Angeles. He is passionate about music of all kinds.
