/24-7PressRelease/ -- The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) announced today that it has earned a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the highest rating from the nation's largest and most-utilized independent evaluator of charities. The MRF is the only organization devoted to melanoma in the United States to receive a 4-star rating.

Charity Navigator's rating system provides donors with an unbiased, objective, numbers-based rating system to assess the financial health of more than 5,000 of America's best-known charities. The overall rating system ranges from zero to four stars and approximately a quarter of the charities receive a 4-star rating. Charity Navigator's rating system examines two broad areas of a charity's financial health: how responsibly it functions day-to-day and how well the charity is positioned to sustain its programs over time.
